Isn’t it strange? One day we see a set of people shouting the “Go Green” slogan aloud, and then next day you see the same set of people using plastic water bottles? What happens to their rule of using eco friendly stuff?

The very fact that you are using bottled water implies that you are aware about the quality of the tap water being supplied to our homes. And in order to avoid the ailments caused due to drinking contaminated water, you must have resorted to taking bottled one.
But let me tell you an eye opening fact here – bottled water is nothing better than tap water. In fact it is even worse.
Reason – the not so eco friendly stuff used for storing this water. I am talking about the plastic containers in which they are stored. Now, the water has to stay in that plastic bottle for days before it gets off the shelf and reaches your home.
During this contact, plastic leaches into the water and contaminates it further. It produces various toxic byproducts like phthalates and BPA. Such water is bad for consumption and can lead to various health problems.
Moreover, once these bottles are used, they are dumped in the landfills. This not only crowds the landfills but becomes a problem for the environment too. This is like deliberately adding toxic waste into the environment.
For all those, who are fans of eco friendly stuff, my recommendation is to first get a home water purifier installed and say no to bottled water. Doing so will not only help in ensuring your health but will also reduce the amount of plastic being thrown in the landfills.
