When shopping in the midst of your busy life, do not throw your ecological conscience in the Recycle Bin! There are simple options to turn any trip to "green":
Buy Local: Election of artwork created locally or craft for decoration and gifts saves gas and supports the economy local. Support the shops that sell merchandise created by local artisans and artists. Check out your farmers market or your local paper for art exhibitions area.
Explore Fair Trade: Labels fair trade certification are on the increase. Shopping for Fair trade helps to ensure that slave labor and environmental abuses do not occur in making their purchases. Enjoy Organic: Buying organic certified goods is another way of being green. Less pesticides in our groundwater is undoubtedly a great advantage for Try Bamboo: Buy products made from sustainable resources like bamboo, wood-like grass that grows back to full maturity of bamboo products flooding the market. Bamboo is a great choice for shirts, socks and underwear, as it is naturally anti-fungal and more absorbent wonderful.
